This Wright Guitar 5E7 Bandmaster 3x10" Combo comes with a custom padded nylon cover from J&L. Product information 'Amp-Chassis: Tweed Super 5F4 / PRO 5E5A / Bandmaster 5E7'. As with all tweed era circuits, the controls are highly interactive, so there are plenty of great "hidden" tones to coax out of this amp. There is something that happens when three 10" speakers in a triangle pattern join together, very powerful, rich in midrange punch and very controllable when either coaxing feedback from a semi hollow guitar, or using a Green Bullet mic for harp. "China Grove" all the way! But, it is also one of the greatest harp amps of all time. Pat Simmons and Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers have long favored this circuit for its warm but cutting distortion tone when cranked. This has to be one of the best circuits to use for ES-335s, too. With this proper impedance match, Aaron is able to capture the great tone of the old 3x10" tweed amps, but with improved dynamics, feel and volume output. They faithfully reproduced the classic 5E7 circuit, which pumps about 26 watts through three 10 alnico-magnet speakers, and enlisted Jensen to help create. Aaron Wright uses a custom 2.6 ohm output transformer from Mercury Magnetics to properly match the impedance of the three Weber Alnico speakers. Many fine examples from the vintage era used differing output transformers. It's not vintage accurate as others, but it have more resell value than kit builds. This used Wright Guitar 5E7 Bandmaster 3x10" Combo in Very Good condition has become a big sleeper hit on the vintage market. With its presence control and the three 10 inch speakers, you will get a nice clean sound even at louder volumes. I'm sure the whole amp will be sweeter in a few weeks, like some boutiques Tweeds are brand new. The Tweed Bandmaster 5E7 is a great amplifier if you are looking for a little punch, power and clean headroom but still want to keep the spirit of the legendary Tweed sound. The pine cabinet is also better than the Weber kit (lower back panel was flimsy light). The Jensen Ri are a little more scooped, efficients & have more highs: they cut thru better in my band.

Perfect for what I do! I did try an RTC ECC82 at home but went full gain ax7 with the band. Everything you need to build a complete 5E7 Amp. Hitting the mark between the two, plenty of blues. I just put a Philips 12ax7ws in V1 & went to rehearsal. Two decades ago, when renewed appreciation of Fender’s narrow-panel tweed amps of the late ’50s really started to boom, the Bassman was generally considered king of the heap, with the 5E3 Deluxe winning fans among players who wanted to crush it in smaller rooms. Seems new, rattled a little because the 2 output jacks were loose at the back. Leo re-used this design over and over for a good reason, and the Bandmaster is pretty close to tweed perfection delivering warmth, punch, beautiful cleans, and a satisfying grind when cranked up. Neitherless I bought a 2nd hand 57 Ri Bandmaster for 1500 Euros last week. The 5E7 Bandmaster combines this circuit with an unusual 3 x 10 speaker configuration. Like I said the boutique offerings are not common around here, in the backwoods. I tried one of the earlier Victoria with the smaller cab & Mojotone speakers but it was a long time ago very cool amp !
